Tailings, Ruth Nevada

Ruth Nevada was founded in 1903 as a company town and is surrounded by an active, massive, open pit copper mine. Most of Ruth is well kept with modest but nice homes. It's current population is 440. There is one store in Ruth but I assume that most people who live there do their shopping in nearby Ely. I didn't take any pictures of the nicer areas of Ruth. I was more interested in seeing the mine when I visited. Unfortunately I couldn't find a way to get a view of the pit or much else besides these tailings.
