La Grange, California
La Grange is a very small historic town on the Southeastern periphery of the Motherlode region. La Grange grew to a substantial size during the mid 1800s mining boom and was briefly the seat of Stanislaus County. Today its population is 345. There are only a few surviving 19th century buildings in La Grange. La Grange has a small history museum open from 11AM to 3PM on Sundays only.
